Covid Queensland Check in App mandatory from 9th July 2021 for open homes.

There is inconsistent advice and information coming from Queensland Health, and now Office of Fair Trading have posted the below on their Facebook page on 2nd July. Some agencies may have set up the office, and or the office plus each registered staff member who carry out open homes as a mobile office with their car registration. Members note I have updated advice as per post on 4th July and in the Members Facebook and Instagram group Real Estate Excellence Member Update. There is not a section of law so to speak to review interpret and the mandatory requirement is from the Chief Health Officer Directions (which are law) and can be found Restrictions on Businesses, Activities and Undertakings Direction (No. 21) | Queensland Health - Fair Trading Queensland | Facebook  2nd July 2021 post from Friday 9 July, the Check In Qld app will be mandatory for the property industry. You need to download the app once and use it for all agency activities – every open home inspection, auction etc. You don’t need a new app for each inspection and for each salesperson. Register at: www.covid19.qld.gov.au/check-in-qld. It’s free, safe and easy to use and provides a convenient check-in process for your clients.
